    Possible engine knock

The seller mentioned the exhaust when I asked about the noise; very well could be a leak or something relatively simple to fix. My worry is it's something that would involve an entire rebuild, and while that could still be the case, I'm liking the odds it's something relatively simple...

    Possible engine knock

Sort of; seller says it hasn't been driven much in the last five years. That could explain the noise; might get better the more its driven(and frequent oil changes) combined with what you suggested. Starting to feel better about taking the chance; the plan is to make this into a driver.

    Possible engine knock

Hey gang, I'm considering buying this 1935 Ford tudor and noticed a weird noise in the engine running video(see link in attachment). My initial thought is it sounds like engine knock of some kind, e.g., worn bearings. Not a deal breaker, even if it's potentially something serious/expensive, I...

    Steering gear I.D. help

    Steering gear I.D. help

Thank you cadillac512 and Synchro909! I also now see where the paul moller book(model a restoration and maintenance, vol 2) points that out(page 40... duh). Marshall, on this particular one there is indeed a remote start switch. My dad came across this for sale locally here in MN.

    Steering gear I.D. help

Hi everyone, I need help trying to figure out what steering gear this is. It's in a 1930 wagon and from what I can tell it looks like a steering box from a 55' F100, but the thing at the arrow is pointing to is throwing me for a loop. Any help is greatly appreciated!
