It seems like years ago when I did a Y block, I got the head gaskets on wrong which apparently is easy to do. Get them on wrong and the water doesn't flow right and the engine over heats and things get bad. Just a reminder. Engine looking good.

Ol' Ron--how much ill effect would lengthening the shackles by 1" to a stock axle? I plan on adding panhard and sway bar. I figure the 1 inch would get a net lowering of 3/4" since the shackle lays at about 45 degees. I am going to make new shackles anyway to pick up the lower shock mount.

I now see that the dash is welded on each side, and not bolted in on the sides from the hinge fasteners. I am going to remove it anyway, to better blast the area and fix up the vent pivot, which seems to be sub par. thanks for the input, this is my high school ride, bought in 1965 and in...

Is this easy? It appears that it is spot welded thru the lower windshield opening. By removing these spot welds and the side bolts, will the dash lower and be removable? Also, on a related note- is there an after market windshield operator sold? Mine is gone. thank you all.

Just replaced all internals -parts from Mac's. I also needed a new cover and replaced it as well. Old cover was handmade. Question/ What is the filler plug size? Mac's didn't know and doesn't have. I thought it was to be pipe threads, but appears to be 3/4 x 20 TPI?? and I cannot find one...
