36 speedo parts

Just removed, cleaned and calibrated my 1936 Fod Pickup speedo. Would like a source for new lens and face decal if possible. Thanks in advance.

Shuffster, You might want to check out this guy on ebay. He claims to have both silver and brown face decals for 35/36 Ford speedos. I don't know if they are correct or not. You will probably have to get the lens from another speedo.

It seems like the pickups had a lower MPH top end like 80 MPH while the cars had the 100 MPH. These were originally silk screened. There should be someone out there that can re-screen it for you. If there is a difference on MPH between the car & pickup your speed indications would likely be off unless they make a decal to match the one you have. This is one of the fun parts about the resto hobby.

The same speedometer was used in pickups and standard passenger cars in 35/36. It had 0-100 mph markings and a 99.9 trip odometer. If your 36 pickup was one of the few deluxe units made in late 36 it might have a 999.9 trip odometer as found in deluxe passenger cars.
