Thanks again to all. I do believe I have too much wear clearance in the pan ball socket. The springs on the ball studs are bottomed out and I detect movement when forcing with a large screwdriver. Cheers :)

I believe I read a post onetime where it was suggested to add 1qt. Of ATF could be added to the crankcase oil. What does this do for the engine or transmission? I would like to learn the benefits of this trick. Thanks...

My '25 Coupe has that problem. I shimmed body the 1/2 inch mentioned. That fixed the hood fit but caused my hood latches to be too short. Had to countersink hood shelf wood deeper to get proper latch length and tension. Good luck... Racemo
