Re: Help identifying ‘31 Panel
As for your question about 2 rear doors vs a single rear door...the general rule is 2 doors makes it a panel (truck). 1 door is a sedan delivery (car). I'm not sure this applies to Model A Fords. Someone will correct me if I am wrong.

I can't be sure. I have had the car since 1966. The previous owner bought it in 1953 from the original owner. I have not found anything on it that was an obvious change.
The front and rear springs were deeply worn from dirt and gravel road use.
You are correct. They could have been changed.

The Ford Price List of Parts says 8 leaf front spring is for '26/'27, 7 leaf for earlier. My '26 Runabout has 7 leaves and I'm pretty sure it has not been changed.
I thought body style might be a factor, as in more leaves for heavier enclosed models.

If I remember right, There was a letter for truck use, one for regular car use and one for speedster use. Mine is the regular car head.
I am waiting for some info from Stipe cams.
Thanks.

I have a Model T block with a Model A crankshaft and I am planning to install a Frontenac head. I am wondering where to get some good advice on choosing a camshaft.
I forget the model of the Fronty, but it is a rather mundane one with a single...
