Camshaft for Fronty

Hi. I'm not new to Model Ts but I'm new here.
I have a Model T block with a Model A crankshaft and I am planning to install a Frontenac head. I am wondering where to get some good advice on choosing a camshaft.
I forget the model of the Fronty, but it is a rather mundane one with a single intake port. This head was offered with 3 compression ratios, I have the middle one for touring. The block is fitted with Jahns high compression pistons made for the Model A crank conversion. At TDC the dome is 1 inch above the deck.
I ran this block previously with a OHC setup so the camshaft in the block was only there as a shaft for the timing gear. Rocker arms are 1-1/2 to 1 ratio and the valves are larger than stock Model T.
I am looking for a touring engine with good manners that will idle nicely but also perform when called upon to do so. I would like to hear from anyone with experience or knowledge who can point me in the right direction. Thanks.

Mike

If the serial number of your Fronty starts with a 'T', it's the low compression model used mostly for trucks. I had a T model head and it had plenty of extra power. As for the cam, it was designed to be a bolt-on improvement for the T engine and was to be used with the standard cam shaft. If I were in your shoes and wanted an extra kick, Id go with a Stipe cam.

If I remember right, There was a letter for truck use, one for regular car use and one for speedster use. Mine is the regular car head.
I am waiting for some info from Stipe cams.
Thanks.

You might call Tom Carnegie at Antique Auto Ranch. They will grind a camshaft to what you want. 509-533-7789

I might be really really late to this a& you probably got some info from the manufactures themseles but thought i'd ad this for anyone watching.

Stipe 250 sound good from a quick google search.

It performed better at higher rpm but suffered at start off. I sold it off on eBay and installed a 250 cam. Much better. Frankly I don't understand what all the hype is over the 280."

Chaffins garage probably makes something similar.
