    Reinstall steering wheel

Thanks Mike but this diagram doesn't show the assembly of the horn button (part 3616 in the drawing). Part 3616 is like a clamshell with a couple of parts sandwiched in between the button and the base with the long shaft. Thanks for the diagram though as it will verify how the bottom of the...

    Reinstall steering wheel

I am attempting to put a new steering wheel on my '38 Standard Coupe. Unfortunately I didn't take it apart. How does the horn button go together? Is it button, then spring, then brass ferrule and then clamp retainer ring to shaft assembly? Don't want to put it together wrong as it is a chore...

    Changing steering wheel

Could someone walk me through changing out my 1938 Standard Coupe steering wheel, light ring and horn button? I would like to put a banjo type wheel on in place of the cracked stock 3 post stock wheel. THANKS, Max

Wouldn't have a part number or description available would you? That would be really helpful of course. Thanks

    Squealing Throw Out Bearing?

A noise just started a couple of days ago. When I push the clutch pedal down I hear a squeal coming from the trans area. The car is a 1938 Ford Standard Coupe. The noise gets louder as the pedal is further depressed. I think it's the throw out bearing? Can this be greased? And if so how...

    Spark plug gap

"38 Flathead -what's the recommended gap? The ones I pulled out were gapped to .22 thousands and were burning OK. I gapped the new Motorcraft to .30 thousands? Feedback? Thanks, Max

    R U Serious

Thanks for all of the encouraging feedback. I was pretty hot when I wrote the R U Serious message. I have asked you guys for feedback and help and have gotten some good helpful tips and I truly appreciate it. I am an educated man but I am also smart enough to be dumb enough to ask for help...

    R U Serious

I just had some jerk call me at 11:30 pm to tell me that I ask "dumb" questions on the Ford Barn website. I was so upset I hung up on him without finding out who it was. I have had conversations with some in the restoration hobby community that have said that Ford Barn people can be arrogant...

Electrical hookup for Electric Fuel Pump

Messed with it for a few days, finally figured out the problem was a poor ground. Switched to 1 gauge wire cleaned cross member and installed a clean ground and now it works off of the coil connection to the ignition switch so it's dead when switch is off. Also put in a dash switch for on/off...
