    Leaking waterpump 60hp

So I installed the overhauled water pump , only to find that it leaks even more at the weeping hole behind the pulley. The repair kit was plug and play and I am pretty sure I did that fine . But during the repair job I noticed that the old impeller was not like the new one in the repair kit, see...

    Petcock

Thank you for all your response and tips, you are the best😊 I guess I just leave them alone , and just unhook the radiator hose . I am having trouble getting my newly overhauled water pump tight so I guess I have to drain it again🥲🥲 The v860 pumps are tricky…

    Petcock

Hello. When I drain the coolant of my 1937 v8-60, i just pull one of the lower radiator hoses. I have 2 petcocks on the engine block but they seems to be stucked and I have not dared to use force on them. As the picture shows, they have not been used for years. Is there a trick to free them? I...

    Leaking waterpump 60hp

Yes, it could be that the one seal in the repair kit replaces both the copper and the old gasket , but I am really not sure here…. The new seal is thicker than the old leather seal , but it is not as thick as the old seal+the copper seal. So If I just use the new seal , this will give a tighter...

    Leaking waterpump 60hp

I finally got the pump off But I have a question about the gasket , see pictures. There seems to be a double gasket (one leather and one cobber) where the pump seal to the timing cover ? Is this original ? I cannot se the copper seal on any drawings and the repair kit only...

    Leaking waterpump 60hp

Thanks! But I guess they are not easy to remove without the special spanner tool?

    Leaking waterpump 60hp

When I grab the pulley at the end of the waterpump and try to move it sideways (up and down), I can feel its kind of loose. The other waterpump does not have these sideways movement. I guess this is a sign of badly worn pump? Also, can anyone from the picture see what kind of wrench I need to...

    Leaking waterpump 60hp

Hello I have this 1937 v860 and I noticed that there is som water coming out of the little hole (se arrow on picture) from my left water pump. The car has been sitting for a couple of months. Is this some quick fix or do I have to pull the pump? I can live with some small dripping once in a...

    Fuelline nuts

Hello So I am planning to change my carburator on my 1937 Ford v860, and to do this I need to first remove the fuelline. But what has happened to the nut that connects the fuel line to the carburetor? No wrench will fit on that? The fuel pump side is no problem , it is a 1/2inch nut on that...

    Identify carburetor v8-60

Thank you again! I think I will try first to locate a 81model here in Norway. The hunt for parts are a fun part of the game:-) But I have one more question. What about the fuel pump, do I need to replace that to if I swap for a Stromberg 81? The picture show that I have a glas bowl type. Do...

    Identify carburetor v8-60

Thank you for kind help :-) I have not tried to adjust my carb leaner. Is it possible to use a 97 on the 60 hp or will it always "drown" the engine and make it go rich like mine?

    Identify carburetor v8-60

Hello I have a 1937 v8-60 and I am trying to identify my carburetor. The car is a 60 hp 1937 model but the engine could be a 1938 as far as I know. I want to do a service on the carburetor this winter and I will buy a service kit. To do that, I need to know what type I have. I have done my...
