    Brake pedal return spring

I am restoring a 1930 Tudor with Burt’s engine and 1939 transmission. I am not a real mechanic. I am having trouble installing the brake pedal return spring because of interference caused by the adapter that holds the pedal shaft . Does anyone have any hints or insights? Also I am unsure what...

Van Pelt Transmission Book - how to get it

I just installed a 39 transmission with Zephyr gears rebuilt by Zaninno. I used the Clingman adapter kit. This is mated to a Burt’s engine with V-8 clutch and downdraft Holly 84 carb. I am not a mechanic but am just doing this while I wait. Wish I had someone nearby who knows what to do. I am...

What did you do today, that was Model A related ?

Worked on the brakes for my 1931 Pickup. Connecting 39 transmission to the Burt’s engine for installation in the 1930 Tudor. Hoping to get it installed in the chassis soon.

    Exhaust whistle

Is the adapter locally made or obtainable somewhere? I like the idea of having more pressure closer to the manifold but don’t want to put up with leaking. I bought a new stainless muffler system from Snyders. If installed between manifold and exhaust, that will drop the system down several...

    Exhaust whistle

I am rebuilding my 1930 Tudor and have yet to install the body. I came across a four pipe train whistle with the control valve at Bert’s some years ago. I would like to install it now but wonder where others have theirs. The diameter of the valve connector is the larger size, like the pipe from...

    39 pickup

I am unsure how the wood beams are positioned between the cab and frame on this 39 pickup. I know there are some small coil springs on each forward side but I can’t figure out how the beams go

Just turned 79. Flying choppers in Vietnam in 1968, I didn’t think I would make it past 22. Got shot in both legs. Still missing the other ones who didn’t get home, still flying my Piper Cub like GPierce and just finished a complete rebuild of my 1956 Cessna 180. Working every day on the 31 Wide...

    1931 Model A no start/ run issue

Install a stainless finger screen in the bottom of the gas tank.possibly rust plugging the fuel output. That doesn’t help at least you have eliminated that possibility

    South Wind Heatew

Well J. Seery that was a great video. Says it all. Now I see where the carb float bowl lid is drilled to accept the suction line from the jet tube. I am thinking about hiding a 12 volt battery somewhere and using it to power a hair driver for the defroster. At 1200 watts however, it might not...
