Well even as I was typing the original post something was nagging at me about the steering wheel. So after paying more attention I looked and sure enough 30/31 did have a splined steering wheel and that was my problem. Wrong steering wheel/horn rod combination. So I wanted a new steering wheel...
I am getting my steering column ready to install in a truck I am restoring. I have a rebuilt steering box I bought off ebay quite some time ago. I purchased a new horn rod for this steering box. The box is a 7 tooth so I got the horn rod which measures 45 3/4 from one of the major suppliers...
I was looking on Snyders for a new throw out bearing for my Model AA truck with a 4 speed. Their listing specifically said would not fir a AA with 4 speed. So I looked on a few outer sites such as Mikes, Macs, and Brattons and they don't say anything about theirs not fitting a AA with 4 speed. I...
Is it possible to change a oil pan out to a newer pan? I have a 1928 oil pan with the bottom clean out and it is in rough shape. I want to install a oil pan from a 1930 engine. Everything looks as if it will fit ok but just in case I am missing seeing something I thought I would ask.
Thank you

I am rewiring my 28 model A Tudor. It is a single bulb headlight system. I purchased a wire harness from Snyder's so it is color coded correctly. My issue is the wires coming out of the headlights are not color coded. Someone just used red and yellow wire on the headlights. I assume both bulb...
I might not of been completely clear on my issue. Yes the light switch does rotate but only because the lower bearing assembly ( as listed in Snyders catalog) portion where the switch seats is rotating. It is the very bottom part of the lower bearing assembly. Round with the notch for the switch...
I have a 1928 tudor. I am replacing the lighting wire harness and switch at the bottom of the steering column. The problem I am having is the very bottom of the steering box where the light switch fits into to mate up with the spider from the light/horn rod turns and causes the switch assembly...
