I bought a rebuilt 6 volt positive alternator from some one a while ago, I think he is Oklahoma, I need another one. Does anyone know him?

My alternator stoped working. It is a 6 volt positive ground and I have taken it to a few shops and they tell me that they are not familiar with a positive ground unit. What is different from a negative groung unit? Thanks for the help. John

One thing to check is how far past the hole in the rim does the bolt extend. Because of wear on the rim hole it is possible that you are torqueing the bolt to the hub and not getting the wheel tight. Take your wheel off and put the bolt in the hole and make sure it does not extend past the...

I live in Houston, TX and it does get hot sometimes and I have driven Model A's for 27 years and never had a vapor lock. Plus for the first time in 27 years of driving them a lot, I had my first break down. Horn wire shorted out and blew a fuse. John

Some times the gear box leakes. Grease will not stay on the gears. It takes oli. If you fill it with oil and it starts to leak, then you will have to put a Steering shaft Retainer with tube. All the parts places have them. Brattons Part # 5030. They are some what easy to put on. John.
