    Paint Colour?

I am wanting to paint my 1949 Flat Head the original colour. I believe it is a brass colour. Was it the same colour in Canada? To anyone having a sample of the colour, could you email me a picture? Thanks for any help. Gary

    Coolant flow direction

My 1935 has a 21 stud engine with the water pumps on the end of the heads. The pumps push coolant to the top of the radiator. My question is with regards to the newer flatheads that have the water pumps on the bottom legs near the lower rad hoses. Is the direction of coolant flow the same...

    Dash Waterfall removal

Is there a trick to removing the dash waterfall in my 1935 Ford? I've removed the two screws under it, and I've taken the windshield crank bezel off, but it seems to be jambed up at the ash tray. I'm sure one of you will enlighten me. Thanks for any info to help. Cheers, Gary C

    Rad overflowing

This is a question about heads and water pumps, and forgive me if the question is a stupid one. I just bought my 35 ford 6 months ago, and I'm reaching the end of the work needed to put it on the road. Every time I start the car, and it reaches 180 degrees, the radiator overflows. A previous...

    1935 Ford "Radiator Removal"

Thankyou for your responses. I found that removing all of the side grill bolts and pulling the rad and grill together, up and out, worked OK. With the over flow boss on the top of the rad, I could only separate the grill from the rad by lifting it up from the rad when both were free of the...

    Headlight Lens Retaining Clips

Hi: I just used some new clips from Mac's on my 35. You have to stretch them out a bit, The ends fit into the lip of the bezel, and the middle part fits into the notch on the lens. The trick is to stretch them out so that they are not so deep. Hope this helps. Gary C

    1935 Ford "Radiator Removal"

Is there a sequence recommended for removing my radiator. ie. Should I remove the generator, and distributor, and pull rad. back towards the engine, or pull grill and rad out through the front. I'm not sure how the top of the grill emblem is fastened, and I don't want to break it. It looks...

    Radiator cap replacement

I'm finding it difficult to buy a radiator cap for a 1935 Ford passenger car. I've looked in Dennis Carpenter, Mac's, and Bob Drakes catalogues, and NO luck. Any ideas on a replacement? Thanks, Gary C
