Mallory dual point distributor

Will the Mallory dual point distributor #2572101 Crab Cap, work on my 21 stud flathead in a 1935 ford? Thanks for any info. Cheers, Gary C
 
Looks like the 101 unit is for the 1935 to 1941 engines...
Should work fine.......

The helmet you have on the engine now is a very good distributor as well.
 
My experiance has been that the Ford dist. is as good or better than the Mallory.I have had more problems with the mallory than the Ford.The Mallorys only have mech advance the for has mech.and vacuum advanve.omo Phil
 
I'm with Trainguy Phil on this one.....When i got my car I was realy disapointed in the way it ran...It had a Mallory Dist...I took the Ford dist. off of a motor that hadn't run since 1962,,Cleaned it up and put wires and everything on my car....Pushed the starter button,,,,,fired,ran like a top...A test drive proved it's hard to beat the Ford dist.when it's set up right.....I'm sending Bubba another one to set up,,and keeping the old one for a spare....Carl
