    Ign coil temp (how hot)

6V coil should have a resistance of 1.3 to 1.6 OHMs. Some times coils are marked incorrectly and following battery ground does not work. Snyders sells a tester that plugs into the dissy and coil and indicates correct or incorrect wiring regardless of coil markings. I have had NAPA coils that...

Mount your toggle switch on the gear shift, it's out of sight and handy to operate T/S as you down shift for corner or upshift coming out.

Re: Why don't some of the "High Rollers" mfg a good low pressure fuel pump??? Fed Mogul Carter pumps P60504, 2-4 psi @ 12V, 1-2 psi @6V or Carter P60430 4-6 psi @ 12V, 2-3 psi @ 6V. Runs either P or N ground, pumps best on N ground. If on P ground car, isolate pump on rubber hoses, run N wire...

The engine number also appears on the top of the right side frame rail about opposite from the parking brake lever on the left side. The motor number thus becomes the VIN number.

    Driving a T on today's roads.

I've driven 500 to 800 mile tours in a '15 T and 2000 and greater mile tours in larger cars but with model T's in attendance. We follow tour routes selected by the organizers, very seldom high traffic roads and cruise along at 40 or so MPH. We do not parade, we leave plenty of space between...

    Ohio guys...

There is a legal way to do it in Ohio if you want to work through an attorney. I did it on a 1914 car I purchased. Attorney makes a case that you have owned the cars for xx yrs, local people have known you owned the car, etc and presents a report to a county judge. Judge issues a statement to...

    26 Coupe Windows

Applied new rubber seals to side and rear windows and pushed hem into place. Fit snug, but certainly not water tight. Would a little silicone sealer be of good use here?

    Tire Choice

Always use flaps! I place tube in tire with valve stem 180 degrees away from the tire fabric overlap. Some say this improves the balance--find the overlap by running the back of your fingers around the inside of the tire. Then I inflate tube to let it unroll and get it seated in the tire--let...

    Aluminum Z Head Saver

Yes, you can do that, but be sure to add a little silicone around the wire, you can't squeeze the rad tube enough to eliminate a leak if installed this way. I just hang mine on the overflow tube in the neck of the rad, in a couple of years they're gone and I hang another.
