I recently bought a pair of quarter window channels for my 32 tudor sedan. The channel doesn't reach from one side channel to the other when installed in the car. It wants to "flop" from one side to the other when I move the mechanism up and down (glass is not installed yet). Is this correct...

Hello, I am trying to install a pair of striker mounting plates on my tudor sedan. Do the screws go directly into the wood frame inside the door (doesn't seem right) or am I missing a metal plate of some sort? Thanks in advance. Roger
