I see in a diagram the worm needs to go up a bit to remove a clip then it will come down. Might have to be pressed off the shaft though.

Hello guys On a seven tooth steering box will the worm gear come out the bottom of the box ? I am trying to avoid pulling the whole column out .

I like this idea , my new leakless pump has no movement . It appears the modified sealed bearing in there prevents it from going in and out . Thanks

Its aready a leakless pump so all good there, my old pump is what caused damage to the head. I have some Lye on hand here , yes I will be cleaning it all nice. Is a two blade more efficient ? I have a good one here and I like the old look of it anyway. Thanks

Yes when the valve is open (head off) I have quite a bit of movement , I can rock the valves in all directions. These are such a forgiving old engine I was hoping someone would say some play is alright. Thanks

What causes a speedometer to be hard to turn ? I lubed and cleaned it as much as possible , I think it pulled cotton into the gears or something . Looks like a cotton wick oil packing near the main shaft.
