If you are financialy challenged like me there is a great instruction on the Minnwax website. www.minnwax.com. It is not for a fine point car but looks very good on my car. On the website click on gelstain. It takes a little practice to get what you want but relatively easy.

I purchased an aluminum frame from Snyder's. It required a little tweaking to fit and the welds were not pleasing. I dressed the welds and polished the frame with fine steel wool. the finish looks much like the radiator shell that I did not paint it. It looks great.
