ford38v8... I haven't been to the barn in some time and didn't know the majority of the folks here didn't deal or care for Mac's. Iv dealt with them in the past and they where pretty much the same as all the others. How ever I haven't dealt any of them in some time now. Cars been complete and...
Well 36tbird....For one I didn't know or hear anything about the tried and true Petronix. Basically I was just sitting on the crapper looking at a mac's catalog and saw that they where now offering a E/I and was just wondering if anyone has tried them. I have in the past thought about buying one...
I see in Mac's new catalog he is offering a E/I for flatheads 12 & 6 volt. I'm just wondering if anyone is using one and how it works. Good /bad ?
Any input would be appreciated.
It could be your coil going bad on ya. I had the same problem. I went through everything and nothing helped the last thing I did was replace the old coil with a fresh rebuilt coil and bingo problem gone. It worked for me.
Good luck.
No I didn't fill it to the top. my shop manual said fill it with in a 1/4 so that's what I did. I just went out and hit the peddle and its right where it should be.
Thank you all for the help and kind words.:).
Well sense I filled up the reservoir with break fluid the break pedal seem fine now. Iv never had any problems before with the breaks. Oh well I guess JT is right. It just does.
Filler ur up with DOT 4 left about a 1/4" air space or should I fill it to the brim ?
Now I have never had any problems with the breaks on my car until yesterday I pull it out of the garage for a ride and the pedal went to the floor. I was able to pump it up but it didn't stay up. (Fir Pedal )...
Without a doubt Skip Haney coil and napa condenser and your problem will be gone. I went through the same thing with my 46. I did everything I could think of and nothing helped I was even think of selling my car until I did the above. I have had any problems with it sense.:D
Has anyone here ever successfully built a 6v to 12v converter ? I have seen different place's that sell them and are quite costly. I was messing around with a 120vac to 12vdc power supply and with a few diodes was able to convert the 12vdc to 24vdc with out letting the smoke out.
The reason...
The guy that installed my exhaust system did a shottie job of it and it raddled and clunked so bad I figured Im just going to shoot the wad and get a new system put on. And man o man My car sounds like a new car. No more clunk and raddles. It sounds so smooth and quiet the only thing I can...
Before I put the front clip back on my 46 tudor sedan a year back I took it down to the muffler shop and had a dual exhaust system put on it with out any mufflers installed. I also had them come out of the manifolds with 1 7/8 tube then 2" the rest of the way back. After diving the car like...
I Pulled the cover off one of the horns last night and tried to adjust it. But no matter how I adjusted it I could not get a good sound out of it. The illustration that 51 merc put on here is the exact same horn as mine. And I did just what it says to do but it still doesn't work.
So maybe...
