New Exhaust system.

Before I put the front clip back on my 46 tudor sedan a year back I took it down to the muffler shop and had a dual exhaust system put on it with out any mufflers installed. I also had them come out of the manifolds with 1 7/8 tube then 2" the rest of the way back. After diving the car like this for about a year Im thinking pretty strongly about a new system with complete 1 7/8 tubing and adding a two in two out muffler and dualies out the back. I'm thinking this will quiet the ol girl down a bit. It might even give her a little more pep. What do ya think ?

If only mufflers is what you want, I would just find mufflers to fit on the 2 inch exhaust. I don't see any benefit in replacing the whole system with smaller pipe.

Think I would be with Paul on that one..
I have 1 3/4" Twin system and Im about to fit 12" glass pack resonators just to take the bark off.

The guy that installed my exhaust system did a shottie job of it and it raddled and clunked so bad I figured Im just going to shoot the wad and get a new system put on. And man o man My car sounds like a new car. No more clunk and raddles. It sounds so smooth and quiet the only thing I can say is . I love it. I should have done this long ago. Needless to say I'm a happy camper.
