The Good Old Days in a Model T Ford

That's an interesting photo with the headlight covers and the Japanese flag. It looks like a 1916 with Sankey wheels and KW Roadsmoothers. State Library of Queensland lists it as Elizabeth St, Brisbane - Treasury Building maybe?

Radiator base dimensions for 1946 coupe.

Thanks, based on your measurements I'll modify the radiator rather try re-working the mounting brackets.

Radiator base dimensions for 1946 coupe.

Does anyone have the centre distance for the two mounting holes for the base of the radiator? My bracket holes measure 580mm apart which is too wide for the radiator that was in the car when I got it. The radiator was loose in the car so I’m not sure if it’s the radiator that is wrong or the way...

Installing steering column on 1946 RHD car

I got the steering column in today. It was a bit of an ordeal. I had to remove the seat, the battery tray assembly and the starter motor.

Installing steering column on 1946 RHD car

I tried putting the steering column back in my 46 Business Coupe today. I’m having trouble getting it past the side of the engine. Is there a trick to getting it in? I pulled it and the engine out about two years ago. The engine went back in ok this morning. Should the steering column have gone...

Engine radius rods/anti-chatter rods on 1946

Thanks guys, I’ve had the flywheel and pressure plate cleaned up so I’ll try running without the radius rods.

Engine radius rods/anti-chatter rods on 1946

I’m putting the engine back in my 46 Business Coupe and am unsure if I have the correct parts for the engine radius rods. I have a round stepped piece with a conical depression that locates on top of the front cross member and that the front end of the radius rod sits on. Underneath the cross...

    Motor ID

Hi Guys, sorry I didn't post more photos. The motor turned out to be junk. I feel kind of embarrassed I bought it. I should have learned this lesson several motors ago. Yes, it would have been a Canadian motor ready for the full flow system.

    Motor ID

I picked up this motor today. I was told it was out of a generator for a searchlight. Does the fuel pump mount look correct? I don't think I've seen this kind before.

    Monkeyface at Clermont

Hi Lawrie, I've been in Emerald the last few days. Heading back to Emerald City this afternoon. I know there are a few V8 guys in Clermont and Capella. I might try to catch up with those guys next time I'm up here.

    Monkeyface at Clermont

Nice Blitz at the Clermont Museum in Central Queensland. The tyres need air but otherwise she looks like a goer. I'm not sure what the lever on the steering column does.

    Ford Laboratory Test Set

Hi Meric, That is very cool! I wish I had one of those. I have a friend in Sydney who may be able to get that up and running. I'll see if he knows of anyone in NZ who could help you out. Do you have a schematic for the unit? Andrew

    Autolab Distributor Check

Yes, that is the mains cable. The insulation has disintegrated where it is soldered to the switch. I plan to rewire it and replace all the capacitors. It needs an external vacuum source to operate. Is this the way the Sun machines work or do they he a built in vacuum pump?
