Just fyi: this locking plate is removed by screwing a couple 1/4-20 bolts into the threaded holes on the plate. The bolts push the plate off of the pin on the locking nut and allow it to be pulled out. The snap ring DOES NOT sit in a channel or groove - do not try to pry it out. Use the 1/4-20 bolts!
