Not T-5, but something I did that others might find interresting.
It uses a Model Engineering (We are only 32, Gene Sanders) bell housing adapter to a Ford toploader transmission. This is a Jeep T-176 CASE ONLY with the Ford toploader gears installed. The Jeep shift housing is used.
Behind the trans is a small adapter that adds 2" to the overall length, that then couples a Gear Vendors overdrive.
I did all this because I wanted a 4 speed, an overdrive AND I wanted the shift lever right where Henry had it (within an inch, anyway).
This really works well, gives 8 forward speeds, if I want, and is controlled by a switch in the shift ball with the wires inside the shift lever. The lever is actually a Marlin Model 60 22 cal rifle barrel.
