36 ford pickup question

If I remember correctly from the 1936 pickup I disassembled years ago there are 8 bolts cab to frame, 4 on each side. The front bolts do not go through the wood spacer blocks, the rear 3 pair do. The front and rear pair of bolts had a spring on top of the cab floor (using a castle nut and cotter pin), likely to allow for some cab movement under extreme conditions.

On the money! other then spring on rear bolt goes bottom, at least mine did.

Oops, Steel 35 is right about the springs on the bottom at the rear... anyway after 20 years I did remember the springs...

This answers my my question as well. The 35 pickup I'm working on had the springs on the rear bolts under the truck. Had no idea about the front? are they like radiatior hold down set up? Another clue i think the gas tank need 3 spring loaded bolts as well. Thanks for the info

Gas tank on 35-36 pickups have two bolts on one side and only one spring loaded bolt on the other. Without looking at my notes, I believe the spring loaded bolt is on one side on one model and on the other side on the other. Not sure which is which on which year. Someone will surely correct me if I am wrong which I frequently am. Often wrong but never in doubt. LOL
