There goes another Model A. And you call this "upgrading" ? I prefer to restore and preserve, not destroy. IMO
I followed your coupe build over on the hamb.As i remember it was a "trying" build at times.I think its a great car,and if they don't like yours they definately don't want to see my AV8 coupeI wish I could offer the op some help but mine wouldn't apply

I would like to disagree with your advice to handle the questions with a PM. Let me start by saying these are general comments and are not directed at the quality of information that you would receive from Pete. When a PM is sent and no one else sees it there is no one to correct any mistakes (and we all make mistakes). If no one sees it the opportunity to look at a suggestion and use it as a stepping-stone to improve it even further is lost. Other posters on the forum that might be interested in the information cannot benefit from it. If the knowledgeable individual has to answer the same question each time he gets a PM he will get tired and we will all lose a source of information. The V8 engine and trans will bolt to your rear end 's torque tube, but you will have to do some fabrication of engine mounts, transmission mounts, find someplace to mount the pedals, and convert the radiator to match the V8 water hoses. Not a hard conversion, and has been done a gazillion times over the decades. Take Pete's offer to talk to him in private messages, he's pretty helpful. And most of us are interested in flathead Ford V8 engines even if they're in other cars.

Just my thoughts on the subject.

You are entitled to your opinion as are all others.
I don't make mistakes. Any info I pass along is proven data. If I don't have hard facts, I keep quiet about the subject and mainly, I don't like people that don't have a clue telling me I'm wrong.
When I tell someone how I did it, I know it works and it's safe. There are thousands of ways to do most jobs and some will work, some won't.
Another thing I don't like about answering on the forum is, too many people like to hi-jack the thread and the poor guy that asked the question is left out in the cold.
Just exactly like what is happening here right now.
You are famous for that.

Charlie, you definitely do not owe Pete an apology, nor any further explanation.
Pete made a mistake and owes you an apology, but don't hold your breath.
