How does this guy compare to Paul's on the east coast?
The owner of Paul's retired and turned the business over to his sons. The prices went up, up, up. I have been pleased with the plating done for me by QualKrom in Erie.
I used Qual chrome and was happy, then I found a flaw. When I called several times and emailed pictures - He did not want to hear anything.
I don't know what you expect to pay for bumpers to be rechromed, But Drake has new ones that look anf fit great much cheaper than any good rechroming would cost. There are the bumper Boys in Ca and Hanlon plating in Va.
I have 2 NOS bumpers that I did not use and do not want to sell, but I used the Drake bumpers. I did not use them because the cost of rechroming, even nos with zero rust, was much to high.

Well, thank you all for this great info including the info on Paul's. What I have is an 18 pound 1934 Ford grille that is laser straight. It is original and I have had it for many, many years always indoors. When I picked it up, it was in the same condition that it is in now which is void of most of the chrome. It is smooth and has never been cut, bent, reworked, etc.
I was told that the chrome shops will cut the bars in the grille which really scares me. This is a very nice piece and not for cutting. No replacing needed or straightening either.
I just want the very best work for a resonable price. The grille on the car can be cut if one needs to be cut. It is a lot lighter material and I am sure a repop.
Thank you.

Any good chrome shops in the Northwest? Something a little closer to Alaska. I have some smaller pieces I'd like done.
