Can get the motor to start and run start and run, don't have a generator what size belts can I run water pumps just to cool it will that work at all thanks

What are you planning on using as a radiator? Second question, why are you wanting to run it this way?

Thanks for responding. Reason for running it this way I don't have a generator just installed it in my 49 F1, don't know what kind of shape the motor is in want to run it for a little while just because you understand. I have a flathead radiator all hooked up plumbed everything is good to go just no water pumps turning at the time thanks

If you have an old belt, you can put it in place to measure.
It may be easiest to cut the old belt, mark the overlap with pencil.
Use tape measure.

Old time auto parts stores could sell you by belt length.
New stores can too, if they can grasp the concept.

(If you let us know your general location, some one close might be able to help you find or loan you a generator.)

Thanks for the offer I'm in the mountains in Colorado I will just buy a generator or maybe an alternator that's part reason why I haven't done anything yet hadn't thought it through

Thanks for that Steve let me know please my phone number is 970-618-6787 I was trying to add pictures but I haven't figured that out yet I've got to 49 F1 s, 34 Ford chop sedan, 62 Thunderbird convertible, and mine on Ford is a 47 DeSoto convertible. If you just want to run it for a short period of time, run it till the temperature reaches the level where the thermostats would open and allow water flow.
Then shut it down and let it cool. No need for water pumps.

Thanks so much I was trying to put up a photo on the Avatar of my 34 it keep telling me invalid file format I just need to figure it out I think
