Anyone know where to get a pre bent window channel for a 56 Courier? Part 21550 in the drawing. Only thing i Have been able to find is a straight channel. I got one but trying to bend it buggered it up good so really need a prebent one. Thanks

I just replaced the window channel on my 55 ford wagon. It is kind of tough but I did it.
Start at the bottom and when you get to the corner, start shaping the channel according to the turn.Once you start making the turn, slowing start tapping on the channel as you bend it.Use a rubber mellet to tap so that you won't bend the chrome of the window channel.Once you have the turn, start pushing the channel all the way into its groove so that when you have it all inside the track, the little rubber holders will match the holes in the door.Hope this helps.

Kind of figured that since I have not been able to find any. I will try bending the one I already messed up with the mallet and see what happens.

Tried you method on the messed up one and was able to get a smooth bend now how do you start the bend so that the inserts on the track will line up with the holes in the door. The piece I did was ruined but once I got the bend could not see how to move it so that the holes and inserts lined up. Some special trick to it? All I can see to do is mark on the track where the holes are on the door and then start the bend so they will be close. Is there another way? Thanks.

I stuck my hand from underneath to get ahold of the bottom portion of the window channel and than pulled very hard cause it is pretty well stuck in the door grove.
As you pull down,go slow and keep an eye on the little rubber inserts.Once you match 2 of the bottom inserts on the window channel to the bottom door holes, the rest will fall in place.Don't give up.Have some patience and you will get it.
Good Luck.

Try Tee Bird Auto. They have quite a bit for 55/56 sedans and wagons. Their stuff is pre-bent too
