hi guys! a year went by since i ask for help on refreshing my engine. i had planned on new seals, bearings and rings. with a little honing and some valve paste grind! things didn,t work out like i had thought,i ended up sending block away for a rebuilt. and i got it back 10 months later.(never tell a guy your not in a hurrey)!
so i got the engine back assembled as a long block. i,m stuck on the oïl filter! i have been reading alot and i think i missing the fitting with the restricted hole. it must of stayed on the block. i lookup old pictures i had ,and i had a elbow in the block by my oïl pressure gauge. i assume that elbow was restricted. now i notice on the return side of the filter theres a restricted elbow there. i was thinking of using that elbow for my inlet and installing a regular elbow on my outlet. do you guys think that would work,or do i need a restricted elbow on inlet and outlet! thanks brian.
