Edelbrock 94 carbs

Just saw this so here goes, No. 1 edelbrock does not make these Dennis Carpenter does, a friend of mine put 8, yes 8 on a468 ci small Block and they run great. I just put three on a 48 coupe I just finished and they are good but the stock 260 hp crate motor wants them leaned out more but they run good now. The throttle works great using a cable a rod would also work, and using a kick down for the 200r trans. If you havn, tried them then hold your negative comments. We have sold several with not one return.

You are talking apples & oranges.
The Carpenter version is direct copy of the 94 using the 8ba mid section with different tops & bases to fit the trucks & cars, early or late. I believe they are cast offshore.
The E'brock carb is their version of the 94. They supply different bolt on throttle levers to accomidate original Ford & other configurations.
I believe Edelbrock casts these in the US.

To me, the only bad part of the Edelbrock 94 carbs is the price. You can buy some new Holley or Edelbrock 4 barrel carbs for cheaper than the 94's.

Same carb. In fact Carpenter had them made and I won't tell you where. You need to get your facts straight.

I put one from Carpenter on a friend's 40 pickup and it never ran so good. the old 94 was not rebuildable and we didn't want to take a chance on buying another wore out core.

It's actually more that one man's opinion. It's actually two, me and the owner of the pickup. Is there a problem with me having an opinion?

I was commenting on '47 flatbed's comment when he said "Edelbrock = garbage". Wasn't commenting on what you posted. If anything I was agreeing with you. Back track and re-read.

Sorry I misread your post. It appeared that you were answering my post. I stand corrected.

As always with 94, s and 97, s keep the fuel pressure between 2 and 3 lbs. So many don't read up before they install them and run 5 or 6 and hello flood.
