New guy from Washington State

Nice business coupe and you show some real talent on those bikes. A Model A should be duck soup for you. Good luck and let us know if you have any questions. I have a 29 Special coupe which is similar below the belt line.

Mmmmmmmmmmmmm, duck soup. That sounds good, its gettin colder outside. Yes they are similar, I actually like the Special better. But I wasn't in a position to be choosy, this one was a very realistic price and a great runner.

Welcome to the A world: careful, it gets addicting. I have 5 and no more room or I would have more.. you're starting out with 2... that's not a healthy sign ha ha.

one thing you should know right off, these things need more frequent lubrication than you probably expect. the distributor needs a drop or two of oil and the water pump needs a shot of grease every 500 miles. Then there are all those other lube spots. The ****** leaks and needs frequent checks.

Get a copy of the " Instruction Book" that came with the car for starters. They are available in repro copies cheap and have all the lube spots and tips on double clutching, spark advance and gas adjusting valve as well as other idiosyncrasies particular to the A. Also, Les Andrew's book, "model A mechanics handbook" is a popular favorite.

hey, nice bikes, BTW

Thank you Sir :D. The man who sold it to me has a ton of original manuals and some A magazine he subscribed to for years hes droppin in me lap. But I seriously appreciate the heads up, nothing more frustrating than wearing a part because of differed maintenance, especially lubrication.

You will love your car,I got my first one at age 15, second when 16, third 2-17+1 whoopy. I just joined not long ago and now own a 1929 AA truck 188-A, I'm 54 years old now. I personly would love to say welcome, and happy your part of the group. Good Luck

Welcome and thanks for the cool pics of your car (and bikes). you're going to have a lot of fun here. Model A's are addicting, but heck, so is this site! ;)

I have a question to those who have seen your coupe here. I have a 29 Phaeton in the same color combo, and I have seen another. Same color body, with orange wheels and whites. Now I know whites weren't original, but did 29 offer any wheels colors? Is this body color original to 29. Thanks.

Great to have you aboard and with this rain, I mean it literally. Neat looking A. I'm finding out much to my wife's delight, I spend more time working on the car than bothering her. Great bunch of guys here and always great info. and advice.
Pete

Welcome from Canada!!! Nice videos by the way. Sure runs good on the spark advance being up. Do you have any videos of you pulling the advance down and hearing it run? I joined this site roughly 4 months ago and the ppl on here have been amazing with responding to questions and giving there input!
