I am looking at restoring a model A Zenith carburetor......all the jets have been sheared off so before I drill and retap them can somebody advise me on the thread tpi ? Many thanks Vic

Good luck .. you may find retapping it a difficult task; one I try to avoid if possible!
Here is a table form Steve Pargeter's excellent booklet "Zenith Model "A" Carburetor Restoration Guidelines. I would also do a search on this forum for further info

Possibly you can locate another rebuildable carb instead of investing in all those Metric taps, unless you already have them.

You could also try Renner's Corner for Parts and kits. David is a good guy. He carries parts for Tilly's and Marvels also along with instructions.

yes, but last time I tried Renners they didn't export small quantities, and it's not economic anyway to just geta few $$$ worth sent across the world ... see OP location

I seems some ham fisted @#$% tried to do who knows what with the carburettor. I'm sure there will be someone in your local Model A club who has a better core for you or even one ready to go if you cross his palm with silver. I have several sitting in my shed. Postage would be considerable, though.
