Zenith 1 and Zenith 2

There were a couple carbs in a box of A parts I picked up. A Zenith 1, a Zenith 2, and one that, at least from the pictures in other threads, appears to be a Tillotson. What is the difference between the Zenith 1 and 2, and what did the 2 come on?
Thanks.

Zenith -1 was built by Zenith Co.

Zenith -2 was built by the Holley Co.

In 1929 Ford Motor Co assigned Zenith-1 to the Zenith Co. and Zenith-2 to the Holley Co.; when Ford came out with their carburetor in 1931 Zenith-3 was assigned to the Ford Motor Co.

Either carburetor could have appeared on a A leaving the assembly line.

There are numerous variations of these carburetors, such as brass fittings or cad fittings, different markings on upper housings. Suggest you refer to the Judging Standards which will give you detailed information. Its not uncommon to find lower and upper housings being mismatched due to rebuilding over the years.
