replacing intake gasket, silicone, no silicone or grease?
WHAT’s YOUR THOUGHTS???

I have used nothing on a flathead intake gasket and I'd done a zillion of them with no issues. Modern engines require sealers.
I will, with respect, disagree with Brian in regard to silicone being "squeezed out". If that's the case, way too much was applied. Silicone only requires a very thin film. More is not better.
I'd also never consider using a gasket more than once. Gaskets for these Fords are cheap. I value my time more than the cost of a gasket.
