Your Opinion?

$800 sounds like you did good!
I agree with Charlie that dark green and black always looks good. Are you sure this didn't start life as a sedan, then get cut into a pickup? I've seen a few done that way. Either way, it'll make a great ride.

Geeze I would like to find one for that price!...I agree with the green==black fenders......you going with pinstripping? love to see some pictures of it....thanks gump:)

Gotta agree with Ken. I wanted to paint my leatherback victoria project black/black/black with the tan top material. Unfortunately I found traces of the original Elkpoint and Kewanee Green during tear down. My friends talked me in to painting it back to factory original saying "you will like the green once everthing is back together". Well everything is almost back together and I still wish it was black. The green just reminds me of all of those dollar bills I spent doing the rebuild. Still smiling though.
the greens look good!
I've had so many darned black cars I'm totally over them,
wish the two black ones I have now were painted different colors.

however just to prove opinions are overpriced at 10 cents per dozen, I'll give you another'un:
if that was my Vickie, I'd put BLACK roof fabric on it, JS be hanged!

I vote for this color combination---andaluscite blue body n black rims! (lifted this from poweredbylincoln above). Tim awhile back showed a picture of his coupe in this color and it looks great. But other than this color, I would go for dark green. with black wheels and fenders.

it's your truck. take a decision. go to the paint store and throw a dart at the color charts :D

my choice is dark green with black fenders & rad shell & lamps & wheels & tires; no cowl lamps or other pimped-up looking ornaments. geez, Wally, it's a truck!

Well, all the opinions are appreciated and has helped me with my decision to go with dark green and black fenders and wheels. I think the issue of body work perfection being necessary with black is valid and sways my decision to go with green. Yes, it is my choice however you fellows see a lot of such cars at shows and so forth, thus your opinions are valued. A good paint job is expensive and a lot of work thus you want to be pleased with the outcome and not wish you had done something different. I'll post before and after pictures when available. Thanks

my opinion ??? boy o boy..... Lets see, If we go by what the Model "A came out from the factory looked like , and the dealership ,we would save allot of money then trying to match what the standards are...

Being you asked for an opinion, here's what I like. Black, always classy, elegant, but the body work should be perfection. Rock Moss Green, well, there are a lot of pick-ups out there with the dark green... looks good, but safe. Two colors I would consider myself would be the dark burgundy, whatever the name of that color is, or the beige, sand color. (excuse me for not remember the proper Ford names). But please, Black fenders and apron on any color. If it were me, black wheels and black wall tires. There, do it my way and let me know when you are ready to sell.

I agree with RcT black fenders, aprons and wheels then Dark Burgundy on the body.
.FYI Aug 31 started the factory steel roof on the CCPU
