Your 2015 agenda???????????

2015 agenda:

1. Vinyl side my garage and add a third garage door for the Model A. It will be a separate room that's insulated and heated.

2. Tighten up my steering

3. Rebuild front and rear springs

4. Install my Stipe shocks

In late fall I purchased a property with large average and a former rodeo arena onsite. The idea is to provide space for my Car collection and build stables for my wife's soon to be bought horses(s). Hopefully by this time next year we are both happy with what we have accomplished inside and out. Already have a few of the A's stored inside. Yippee !

I want to solve the problem of car rust from driving in the winter on salty roads. :confused:

HOLY COW........it just came to me........FISH OIL
Fish swim in salt water their entire life, and when's the last time you saw a rusty fish.:D

For my roadster: new cast iron drums, adjust new radiator and hood properly, install Robert Paul-rebuilt shocks, add right side tail light and turn signals, hopefully get back restored YOM plate from Darryl's plates and install. For my Town Sedan, maybe new radial tires and to drive it to the MARC meet in Niagara Falls. Gut the third floor bedroom and redo, adding a bathroom and skylight.

I would love to repaint my cars to their authentic color schemes. Won't happen in 2015 but maybe I'll start saving in a special fund for the day I do it.

My current plan is to perform a complete valve job on my grandfather's '30 tudor over the summer. With that completed I can continue to learn how to drive a Model A.

A. putting Lucy through the paces to get her AACA stripes first stop VA beach meet may 1st..:o
B. i hope to help and meet more Model'Aers that cross my path;)
C. going to search for a driver quality roadster pickup
D. selling my other award winning tudor :rolleyes:
E. marrying off my second of 3 daughters:)

In 2015 my Model "A" goals are to:
>Finish the restoration of my 190A Victoria;
>Successful trip in our 190A to the New England Model A Ford Meet in Connecticut;
>Start conversion of my 45B Coupe into a 1930's era hot rod including 1932 grille shell, 18" 1932 wheels, downdraft 94 carburetor, Mallory ignition, HEI ignition coil, street grind camshaft; 6:1 hi-compression cylinder head, pressurized cooling system, lightened flywheel, V8 clutch, overhaul of its Model "B" engine and refinish of its exterior paint;
>Sell excess Model "A" & "B" parts.
I'm 72 and I may have bitten-off more than I can chew!

Here in the frozen north, it's either work on Model A's or drink in the winter. I bought this 28-9 phaeton basket case last summer. The various body panels and doors have come from two or more different bodies, both 28 and 29. This gives me more choices as to what the finished product will become. So, should we go 28 or 29? How about a bit of both? I like the earlier back seat curtain pan, so I rivited an early pan to the rear body cross member. That rear cross member appears to be original to the body sub frame, but there are NO mounting holes in the back cross member for the forged 28 tail light bracket. However, the rear fender has the three mounting holes for the tail light, so that would be the easiest way out. And on the final mismatch, you will notice on the last photo that the two passenger doors are very different in that the front is a 29 with outside door handle, but the rear has no hole for an outside handle, making it a 28 or very early 29. I originally planned to just blank out the hole in the front door for the earlier inside door handle, but this AM, I woke up with a diabolical plan. Why not leave it the way it is? One outside passenger handle and one inside passenger handle? I could say that this is a transition car. I have a friend with a 30 town sedan with one eye brow front fender and one later front fender. He tells people that this car was built on the day that Ford ran out of eye brow fenders. A bit of pro and con feed back from you guys would be welcome at this juncture? Go by the book, or create a conversation piece?
My wife is worried about resell value. (Sigh). If I can get this body smoothed out and rivited back together with working doors by planting time this spring, I will be doing good.

Install float-a-motor upper transmission yoke which was missing from my f-a-motor mounts when we bought the car last year and hopefully get some of the vibration out of the car.

Then drive, drive, drive and then, drive some more!
