Coker Tire Co. Sells A Good ww Cleaner,They Don't Recommend" Westley's".I Don't Know Why I Have Used It With Good Luck.

Forget Westley I had issues with that. I use MAGIC ERASER it looks like a white sponge and works well put some water and wipe the yellow off . Here are pictures of my Wide White Walls.

Thanks !!!!!

Anyone old enough to remember the Pepsodent jingle: "You'll wonder where the yellow went, when you brush your teeth with Pepsodent." Never tried it on white walls though. lol

Naturally they want to sell you theres. Would firestone tell you to buy Goodyear tires for your car.?:):):) ken ct.

I have had many huge old Cadillacs over the years and wide whites are a given--I have always used Westley's and never have had a problem.

I agree that Westley's works well on white walls. I have black walls and it works great to get the natural rubber look, not shiny.

Thanks

Westleys is the only the way to go. I have used it the past 30 years. No problems ever................................... Good luck!
Its the only thing that works 110%

Westleys is good, but some tires will turn yellow and they will always be yellow.
I have read that the white wall on some tires are placed on black tires and valcanized on to the sidewall. The black bleeds though the white rubber and discolors it forever.
Some tire companies do not have this problem, I have a set of tires from Coker that have not changed color and set of Firestones that didn't do it either. For black marks or just dirty tires Westleys is as good as anything, a brass brush will help it they are really bad.....

This is from Diamondback Tires...

CLEANING TIPS (No Bleach)
One of the first things you will notice is that Diamond Back Classics are extremely easy to clean. Most whitewalls turn dingy or yellow because of the leaching of chemicals (mostly anti-oxidants) into the white material. Because our process uses a butyl lining to stop chemical leeching, you only have to clean the surface dirt. We recommend frequent cleanings with an abrasive cleaning pad. A fine or medium sanding sponge works well. These are available at most hardware stores.

Any good cleaner works OK - Castrol Super Clean, 409, Simple Green, Greased Lightning - just to name a few. Avoid cleaners that contain bleach. Prolonged use of these cleaners can “dry” the whitewall surface. Do not use products such as Armor All on whitewall. This could cause slight discoloration. Whitewall surfaces tend to “dry” with time, heat, ozone, etc. A vigorous cleaning periodically will get rid of the dry surface and help maintain the tire’s beauty. Don’t be afraid to scrub.
