Yea! Both Fenders Done

After a full day of color sanding (1000 through 5000 wet/dry) and buffing (Chemical Guys #32 through #38 compounds) both fenders are done! Yea!

While I would like to, no, I can't reinstall them on the car yet. I have to refinish the back of the car and rear wheel wells first. Oh well, one more step on the journey.

After all that work doesn't it sting just a wee bit that the factory just dipped them in a paint vat and hung them out to dry?!

I know it was a lot of work, but now you get the satisfaction of knowing that you did it and they turned out great!

I am guessing that most fully restored model A Fords are probably over restored as compared to how they looked sitting in the dealer showroom. I have already admitted to a case of OCD when it comes to my restorations. Sometimes I wish I was one of those who can look at flaws, call it patina, and happily live with it. But that is just not me.

My car is at the same point of completion, fenders and running boards painted. It a milestone. You're finally getting somewhere, progress is being made! It's a great feeling! Keep it fresh in your mind.

I see you have drone. You need to do a fly over and post it on you tube with a link here when you are finished. Nice work!
