HELP!!! i need a flexplate for my 292 yblock with a cruisomatic in it. the one i have is bent. does anyone make this piece? does anyone have one they want to sell? the flexplate i need has the ring gear on it. any help will be appreciated. thanks,denny . 440 871 0274, if you want to call

From 58 on the ring gear is on the flex plate, so any 58-on ford with a Yblock and auto in a wreckers yard should have the flex plate you want. They are prone to cracking. Here in Oz they are like hens teeth. One seller wanted over $700 for a new one. From my research on the web, I could not find a manufacturer in the states for a repro.
Gary Croan advertises in the YBlock magazine for these plates but has none available.
If yours is bent, maybe your best option is to take it to a machine shop and get it straightened.
