I have a chance to buy a 56 Ford 2 door post with locked up v8 stick setup,maybe a 272? I also found a guy with a 60 Ford pickup with a running 292 or 312 with 4 speed.Any issues in putting the truck engine in the 56 using the 3 speed in the 56?
 
Truck use a different bellhousing and clutch disc splines 1 3/8 for the truck and 1 1/16 on the car version and as long as you use the 272 bell housing flywheel and clutch assy you will be fine. Hope it helps if need more info drop me a email at jmateosullivan@yahoo.com
