everything i've thought of napa has.
napa website has one quirk.
until you register and add a vehicle
it's impossible to find ANYTHING!
don't know what they're thinking there.

Have A Nice Day!

I know what you mean. They changed the web site awhile back. It used to be easy to find stuff, now its a hassel. They do carry alot of yblock parts but you have to watch out for the Chinese parts.

low
you don't really want that tri power manifold.
gimme!:)
the lack of manifolds for y blocks is giving
me fits.
you know when you when you get a new motor
you kind of picture it rebuilt, painted and a new holley
on top.
where's the brand new 4 barrel aluminum intake
for $150
ok. i might go $175 but that's my limit!

Have A Nice Day!

fordy's

i was going to look for valve guides on NAPA.

then i came to my senses.

when i take it to machine shop,

it's ok to take them pistons and valves but

it's better to let them get guides.

i haven't done a used engine in a long time.

What do you need? Pistons, rings, bearings, pushrods, lifters, oil pumps, pump drives, gaskets, timing sets, camshafts ? Speed-Pro, Sealed Power, Melling, Elgin, Cloyes, Fel-Pro...

street

i don't need anything.

this is probably the slowest engine go through in history.

and that's just the way i like it.:)

i'm just pointing out that NAPA has all the parts.

i don't quite follow why little places sell them.

if they're waiting for NAPA to run out so they can

cash in, they may be waiting a lonnng time.:)

they built a whole bunch o' Fords and there's

a lot of parts out there.

Blue Thunder makes a 4 bbl.intake.You have to buy it from one of their distributors. It's probably more than $175.

milt

that manifold is @$400.

let me think a minute. no. i will not be getting one.

there's another one around. same deal.

when NAPA stops carrying parts for this motor.

that's it for me.

i'm starting to get to like my little 2 BBl Autolite carb.:)

it really helps it's like Holley 4 BBL's.

the old funny kind with flat lid fuel bowl.

i'm used to performance 4 BBL Holley's.

Have A Nice Day!

The Blue Thunder intake is well worth the money. If you look inside a factory manifold, then look inside a Blue Thunder, I think an Army platoon could march through the Blue Thunder. Expensive? Yes, take care of it, it will last a life time!

don

guess i did sort of hijack my own thread!:)

saying something about that guy's tri power.

no thanks!

i'll just wait until i get a 289 or 302.

then get a nice single top tunnel ram

all nice and new for $275.

maybe a clean used one at swap meet

for $150.

on my y block starting to like my

little cast iron 2 BBL intake too!:)

'good little intake. we'll get you all sand blasted and painted!':)

Have A Nice Day!

Still have genuine Ford NOS parts for them here, no pistons though. Working through all of the engine part #'s Ford used is a pain, but I am figuring them out little by little. Rod

ron

haven't looked for pistons at NAPA.

i have not bought a single part yet.

Speedway has pistons. $219

i would call them.

never know.

might be left over racing pistons

from some well known maker.:)
