I think that ECT-B manifold is for a truck Y-block (302?), which is similar to the Lincoln Yblocks. Perhaps someone else can positively identify it, but that's my guess.

Most of those parts are not interchangeable with the Ford Yblocks.

The truck engines were 279 in 54, 55, 302 in 56, and 332 later. The 332 had a larger carb base. Many of the 302's had the small four barrel. All the 279's I saw had a two barrel tea pot.

Check the way the thermostat housing mounts. Y-Block vertical, Linc horizontal.

Also I believe the intake runners are not stacked on the Linc like Ford Y-Blocks.

Pictures are always good??

The 1954 Ford Y-block engine was a 235 cu inch and was physically smaller than the later 272 and 292
The intake manifold for the 54 Y-block is too small to fit on the 272 and 292, although to look at both of them separately, you cant tell the difference unless you can compare them side-by-side.

Dave, the 54 Y-block was actually a 239 - same size a the flathead, not 235.

The engine is not physically smaller, it's same external size as the 272/292/312. Because of the port size, the intake off a 239 will not seal correctly when used on a 272/292/312. Ditto if a 272/292/312 intake is used a 239 heads. External size is the same as far as i know.
