WW's or B/W tires

I just look at WWW and wonder how much free time is wasted keeping them clean, I have better things to do with my time.

One of the reasons why I was glad to have them gone.

whitewall tires are for people who would rather clean their car than drive it

Not me. It's a little known fact (said in my best Cliff Clavin voice), that dogs only pee on whitewalls. That why so many of them have that hideous yellow tinge.

Black wheels look great until you get caught in the rain....W/W look the best they ever will on the day you first install them. (Do they still make SOS pads?)

That yellow tinge on W/W's is caused by abrasive cleaners such as chlorine, bleach, commet, ajax, and SOS pads , instead of dish detergent and a scrub brush that us elite who run W/W's use ...

Guys,
Is it just me that doesn't have a problem with whitewalls becoming unpresentable? Nobody is lazier about washing their car than I am; I have NEVER scrubbed or labored over my tires--just wash them off with the rest of the car a few times a year.

Here's my tires when they were fairly new in the bright sunlight of 2006.

Here they are 6 years later, resting in the garage waiting for spring.

I guess there's a difference, or maybe I need cataract surgery, but I think they still look ok. I think they look better when they're not starkly white. Is it just me?

I like the WWs on my Coupe, but I have NEVER seen a Model A that doesn't look GREAT. Even the old rusty ones seen in photos of old junk yards.

Henry came up with a great style, period. :)

HOWEVER, I have yet to see a Rusty Old Model A puttsin' down the road with a brand new set of WWs. Now that would be KOOL......:p :p :p :p :p

Anybody out there got one like that..?
