Looking to find the 1930/31 Gas Tank Steering Column Support piece.

The part that is/was attached to the tank.

I want to use it as a bracket to hold a gauge.

No they do not sell this part

You are referring to the late 1931 one which is connected to the belt rail.

I need the one which is on the early models.

You will probably have to scavenge it off a bad gas tank. Try Bert's in denver.
