WTB - 49-53 Ford flathead 3-3/4" crankshaft

I have a '49 8RT that needs rebuilt.
Found what appears to be 'erosion?' on one of the throws. Has anyone seen this before? Could this have been from the original forging? Just don't know.
Looking for a good serviceable crankshaft. Prefer std/std journals, but will accept 10/10's.

I have seen that before. It's as made I think.

we have the same one in our motor. the machine shop said it was made that way. there was a buildup of junk in the mold.

Just poor casting. I've got a Merc crank being cut now that looks like that.

FYI - The crankshafts are CAST, not FORGED (it's a popular misconception). Your crank appears to be OK. Good Luck.
