Anyone know where you can buy the wrench that fits the oil drain fitting? Mine looks like its about 2 - 2 1/2 inches. I want to be able to change my own oil. Thanks!

I found a large wrench at a swap meet that was close to the size. I then cut out a piece of steel to match the large drain plug and welded it to the original wrench. It works fine.

If they were made nicely with an extended handle, I bet you would sell a bunch of them. I will..

You can pick one up at a flea market for $8-10.00. They are not hard to come by. In the interim, use channel locks.

Common swap meet item from several manufacturers and in several styles, I think all in tools with numerous openings for different cars.
But...you already have what you need...go look in the trunk! The original toolkit adjustable or monkey wrench will actually do the job, and it is what I have always used despite owning afew of the filling station service wrenches. The adjustable does not engage the flats fully, but what it does reach is plenty to do the job. Since the plug tightes against a crush washer, it is not all that tight and the available grip is more than sufficient.
FWIW, I believe the threads on the big plugs are a pipe size, one commonly used on 55 gallon drums, but it is not a tapered engagement since it seals against a washer and not at the threads.
