This weekend the Dallas Model A Club took a memorial day tour. It was 3 days of pure fun. Trish Hines was the tour leader and she did an excelent job. We went to Norman Oklahoma and drove around the OU campus and then went to Oklahoma City for glass blowing Seminars. We went to quite a few muesems including the Oklahoma City bombing site. Wow that was a beautiful memorial. The trip was 3 days, and 700+ miles were put on my car. The average temp was about 90 degrees and inside tha cab of my cab it was about 120. But thats the fun of model a's isnt it? Of course there was some car troubles, one guy snapped something in the drive train from the clutch back. Then my car crushed a bearing in the steering box, so it was all over the place on the way home. Wish all of you could have joined us for some good 'ol fun, but maybe next time. Trish Hines did an excelent job, as she always does on all her tours.

I can tell you're a young guy. When I was younger I thought I'd never care about having air conditioning and power windows and door locks. But now I'm sure glad my modern car has them. As you get older you'll find extreme heat and cold much less "fun". :) 700 miles was pretty good for a 3 day trip.

We have trouble getting our members to drive 100 miles.

I go to Norman about once a year for Postal school. I think I'm going again in Sept. There is a car show (small) at the end of Sept.
