The ad mentions a governor, do you think the kit included that? It isn't crystal clear on that.

These rigs usually were driven from a wheel. This is driven from an extension from the crankshaft

I can imagine that it made it that much harder to crank start the car when you had to turn the whole rig as well. Even if the clutch was disengaged, I’m sure you wanted to use it on a car that fired on the first crank. Imagine the lawsuits if you tried to sell something like that today.
