Woodie gutter question

Hi woodie guys,
I have managed to get some gutters for the 41, but my question is this: should the gutters extend down the a-pillars to the cowl, or do they just follow the line of the roof to the edge of the windscreen header?
My car has holes down the side of the windscreen pillars, but they could be from anything! My plan though, has been to paint the gutter black and extend to the trim line. Any thoughts?

down to the cowl, on 1940's some are two piece, others one piece.

On my 46 the gutters extend down the cowl to the seam in the cowl below the antenna. The gutters are 1 piece. Sorry the picture turned out dark.

You should have several holes in the "A" pillar that the rain gutter screws go into.

They are supposed to be painted same colour as the car as is the rubber filler .I have new ones should yours don't work out or if you know of someone also needing them John.
