I took a stab at woodgraining with the kit from that company and am pleased with the result. Just a couple of hints.

I've done several dashboards, window surrounds and a couple of exterior panels. All have turned out nicely, although my grains are straight, no curls. My method is to paint the panel beige, then slap on dark wood stain, then wipe most of the stain off with a big, dry brush, leaving whatever depth of grain you want. Finally, finish with a couple of coats of clear polyurethane varnish, light sanding in between. Tkes little talent and looks great!
did 37' fords come with woodgrained dashes? The next issue of Model A Times will have an article on woodgraining written by me with lots of color photos.
