Wood Wagon Plans

Hi:

As far as I know there are no Woody Plans in existence. I purchased the wood kit from a renowned auto woodworker in Travis City Michigan, but later his shop burned. I believe he has rebuilt, but I am not sure if he is doing any woody bodies.

His name is Mike Nickels (Great guy!) If you call him, tell him Al Lugo gave you his number from Georgia.

I still have a long way to go on my 30 Station Wagon. If I can be of any help my email is: 1931milly@gmail.com

Al, I was at Mike's shop about a month ago. He is doing a couple of Model-As now, but he had quite the backlog of other cars. His new shop is really nice as is his new power tooling. Below are some pix I pirated from a friend's social media page that was taken when we were there.

As far as plans, several guys still have the Hudson Wagon Wks plans, and as I understand someone else has taken that over. If looking for plans for duplicating the original 150A/B body, the original prints are available from Benson.

If you are looking for a station wagon, go with Brent's recommendation. I am building a huckster, and plans are available from Wagon Works in Iowa

Hi Brent:

Glad to hear Mike's shop is up and running and thank you for the great photos. I am glad also to see he is very busy so he can recover somewhat from his shop fire.

Hey Doc, it really is a stunning new shop with stonework on the exterior, quite a bit of memorabilia and old tools displayed on the inside walls etc. He showed me some fixtures he had remade, and there was quite a bit of old tooling that he was able too clean & restore. As I'm sure we all will agree, Fire is a very scary thing.
